The Corruptible

I was super excited when I was able to get this ARC from Waterbrook before it came out. I jumped at the chance because I love this author. I have read everything he has written and he is great!!. This is the second book in the Ray Quinn Mysteries. You can read this one without reading his first one-he refers to different things that happened in the first one so you will be able to connect the dots.

Ray Quinn is an ex homicide detective that became a private investigator after being shot and losing his partner and love. He suffers with a painful disability along with a Jim Beam addiction and an impetuous sidekick, Crevis. An unlikely mesh working together to solve crimes. A new client needs his help and is willing to pay with a lot of zeros on his check. He needs the job and it seems easy but an ex copy turns up murdered along with Ray's clients sensitive corporate information gone. Now Ray must find not only a murderer but a thief and the list of people keeps growing and changing. He is having trouble discerning the good guys from the bad guys and there are people out there that want Ray silenced and try to do just that. Not going to delve any more information because I want you to pick up this book and read it for yourself--you will not be disappointed.

I found this book extremely hard to put down-love his writing style and he left the door wide open for another book in this series. When you finish this book, pick up his earlier books--just as good.

Thanks to Waterbrook-Multnomah for providing this book free just for my honest opinion.
