Just finished reading Over the Edge by Brandilyn Collins and it was amazing. What a storyline!. It was even more amazing since the author suffered through Lyme disease herself.
Janessa McNeil is the wife of a well known researcher and professor at Stanford University's School of Medicine. His research is on Lyme disease and he says it does not exist. Someone intends to make Dr. McNeil see just how devastating this disease is. He strickens Janessa with the ticks after he sneaks into the house to do it. The following pages deal with her sickness and symptoms of this horrid disease. Janessa must deal with the horrible effects of Lyme and a husband who leaves her for another woman. The author also tackles the Lyme wars between the medical community and the patients. Who will believe Janessa and will she find help before it is too late.
This was a thriller-page turning interesting read with a surprise "who did it" to Janessa.
I know I will be on the lookout for ticks after reading this book and knowing just how devastating this disease is.
